Thank You

I looked out of my window today and saw a bus unloading a wheelchair with a disabled child in it. The mother smiled as she was speaking with the bus driver. It struck a chord in my heart. I 'felt sorry for her'. When I see or hear about certain things in other people's lives I put my menial issues into their proper place. Do I really have it THAT bad? I am not saying she does- because I know God has given her the grace to keep going each day- but do I have the 'right' to murmur and complain abo… Continue

Do You Hear What I Hear?

There are so many voices today that 'represent God'. It is not an easy task to decide whom you should follow. That is why I have decided to FOLLOW JESUS. I have finally learned throughout the years that I needed to find out what God's voice sounded like- for myself. I spent years of listening to everyone else say they have 'the voice of God'. I never tested what they said- just believed everything that came out of their mouth. "The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh we… Continue

At the End of the Day

I recently watched a movie about a man who went into the future and found out the exact date he died- which happened to be about three days later. He spent his last hours trying to save someone else's life- which he did. It was interesting how he was not interested in saving his own. At the end of the movie he made a statement- which I can not remember. I do know it had something to do with the one thing you wish for when you die- to to have your life back- which you can never get. This really… Continue

Contentment

Contentment means satisfaction with one's life; fulfillment with a peace of mind. Many think this is a curse word. It also has become one in the church! Over the years I had so much anxiety and worry over my life. I finally learned to be content with GOD. I have learned how to quiet my soul and allow God to fulfill me. This sounds crazy- why not reach for the stars? I found out that there is so much that is missed when you focus on the stars instead of the God who created them... I like the st… Continue

That's MY Ball!

I went to my door to tape up a sign for the UPS man and to my surprise, a young man was stuffing my children's ball into a car full of children. I yelled to my kids that someone was giving their ball away. I opened the door and yelled it again so he can hear me. He said, "oh- was that your ball? I found it in the street." I heard the woman in the car chuckle and drive off. He kept saying he was going to get the ball back for me, especially when all of my children came to the door to see what was… Continue

Well, I send my blessings regarding your endeavors! I'm not much of a web chatter either. I found this site a few months ago and it has proven to be a good place for answers and support. I have been Homeschooling for less than a year but I do enjoy it. My girl is 11. I hope that you will like it here also.
Take Care, Cheryl
