About Me:
I'm the joyful mom of 3 gorgeous girls, and have a fantastic US Marine husband. I live overseas and love it. I homeschool for religious reasons, and more importantly because "I can". I believe God when he says that I am to train my children in the way they should go, and they will not depart from it when they are old.

Genia,
I cannot say that I have finished that book yet, but I plan on it. It's been quite an adjustment going from 4 to 7 kids, because the new kids are the same age of my kids, but they are not as mature or responsible. I think for me, that is the hardest part. I assume they know how to do something and they don't. I am dealing with a 10 year old who whines like a 4 year old and a 7 yo who acts like she's a baby. And I know it isn't the kids fault. I just have to find the right way to raise their abilities. I love it though and my fiancee is great. He takes care of all the cleaning and he cooks breakfast and lunch ( he works 2nd shift so I have dinner), and he is a hands-on Dad.
I can't wait to talk to you! I left you a private message that has my cell phone number in it. I hope to hear from you soon!

Genia,
I just wanted to stop by and say hello! I haven't had internet access on a regular basis so I haven't been able to keep up with what's going on. I did want to let you know that I am getting married to a wonderful man who has 3 children that he has custody of. We will be homeschooling all the children come August. I wanted to tell you that I love you and I thank you for all the kind and encouraging words you have given me.

Hey Genia,

I'm sending this to all on my list of friends. Just another little way to make some extra cash for us Moms who stay at home. :-)

I thought that you may be interested in this!

Help make money by having people sign up under you. They have all the stores like Target, Khols, Baby phat, Calvin Klien, Drug stores, Home depot. They send you a rebate check at the first of the month. Go see what I'm talking about. Watch the video on my link.

Oh and the sign up is 100% free all you have to do is buy one thing from your mall each month to keep it activated. You can have as many as 1000 people under you. You make money off of what people buy in there stores through rebate checks.

Hey Genia,
I just read the messages from both you and Honey and I'm glad I decided to check my e-mail before going to bed. It's been rocky these last few days but we'll be OK. It's a lot to take in. Thanks again for the good advice and I'll ask you the same ques. I had for Honey, How to I determine when it's time to promote to the next grade? I can't find info on that for the state of Louisiana?

Genia,
I AM hanging in there and I am actually in amazement of how things work themselves out. For the past few weeks I have been debating if the time I am putting into my job is interfering with the time I could be devoting to my children. I was to the point where everyday was a struggle because I didn't want to quit my job ( I LOVE being a Parent Educator and I work with an awesome team), but my children were beginning to take advantage of the fact that I didn't have the energy to keep them in line. One was beginning to talk too much, another blatantly not doing his enrichment work, and I just missed being with the younger two.
AND THEN CAME YOUR COMMENTS! It, along with the flu running through 4/5ths of my home which gave me down time to rethink my priorities and what I want in the long term, then being provided with much needed supplies for my home visits, and a new office space.....it all renewed my passion and determination to continue. Not to mention the older boys reassured me that I am spending enough time with them and they promised to do more. I also saw where www.Time4Learning.com will allow you to have a free month if you write a review and post their link. My boys LOVE it! So enrichment work is no longer a struggle.
About 30 minutes ago, my firstborn (age 12) said, "Mom our lives have been so much fun since we moved to Kentucky." I agree. Little does he or his siblings realized the sacrifice I made to move to a foreign place to finally be all that I knew I could be.
Thank you, Genia, for being that much-needed friend that has continuously encouraged me along the way. I love you and your spirit is one of a kind!
